1st Amaia Raziela Magno Abangan - 5ºB (San Juan Bautista Salesianos Estrecho)

For me, spring is the transition season between winter and summer during which we see days getting longer, temperatures warming and plants blooming in time for summer. When it’s spring, I think of bunnies, flowers, the sun, chocolates, eggs, and more!! In spring, I normally do: Easter egg hunts, go out for a picnic with my family, paint eggs, eat chocolate and so much more! I love spring, it’s a beautiful season between winter and summer and the weather starts to get warmer. The most common thing I do is go to church, because Jesus was then resurrected and came back to life on Easter Sunday. This significant event, historically attested to outside the church by many, is still having a great impact on our world. It is this which gives Christians their hope. My favourite Easter candies are:Peeps, chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, marshmallows, Reese's pieces peanut butter eggs and much more!!!! I love spring because snow begins to melt (but there’s no snow in Madrid)in other countries, swelling streams with run-off and any frosts become less severe. In climates that have no snow, and rare frosts, air and ground temperatures increase more rapidly. I don’t really like spring because now there are a lot of bugs!!

2nd David Robles Díaz - 4ºC grade (Salesianos Estrecho)

What is spring? For the people who like sports is the moment to play other sports. In winter with the cold we practice skiing and ice skating, but now in spring when the days are longer and the weather is warmer, we can enjoy riding a bicycle, climbing and hiking in the mountains. And also when you are walking in the mountains, thanks to the fact that in spring there are many flowers, we can found them easily, and they are very beautiful we can take flowers and leaves to collect them, to dry the plants put into a book for two or three weeks, and then you can put it in your notebook, and you can also use them in your natural science notebook for decorate it more. In conclusion, spring is a good moment to go outside and, especially for people, like me, who love sports, it is the perfect moment to enjoy nature and the sun. And for you, why do you like spring?

1st David Robles Díaz - 4th grade Primary Education (San Juan Bautista Salesianos Estrecho)

What is love? Can we touch it, eat it, see it...? Never before I ask me what is love, did you ask it before? I listened a lot of songs, stories and movies about love, but I never thought before what is love for me. There are a lot of kinds of love. It is not the same love towards things and love with people. It is not the same if you lose a toy or if you lose a person of the family. Furthermore, it is not the same love towards your parents and towards your uncles and aunts. Love for me is: The hugs of my dad, The kisses of my mum, playing with a friend, playing with my toys, playing with a pet... That and more things is love for me. And for you? What is love? With whom do you share love with? And what means love for you?

2nd Patricia Serranos Cayo - 4th grade Primary Education (San Juan Bautista Salesianos Estrecho)

Love for me is a feeling, it is the strongest of the feelings. Love is the engine to live in harmony, peace and happiness. All humans must have more love to their family, to their friends, their pets and the entire universe. However, many times humans do not think about others, we live in selfishness and do not create love. I have love towards my mum, my dad, my brothers, my sister and my family because they also give me a lot of love, attention, dear and the most important thing, they are always by my side taking care of me, pandering me and also helping me to grow like a good person. Love is the grounding of everything as well, when we give love towards others without waiting nothing in return. Children must live with love, to be able to form a great universe with happy, cheerful, healthy and respectful children.

1st Sara Anguita Gago - 6ºC San Juan Bautista (Salesianos Estrecho)

Hello, I'm Sara and my goal for this new year is to paint more because I've seen how much I like it and how fun it is. It helps me relax and forget about my problems, and it is a very fun way to have fun with your family or friends. What I like the most is painting with watercolours and using a technique called dripping, which consists of throwing paint on the painting without It has shapes, it's super fun, and you don't have to worry about it turning out well because that's not the important thing, the important thing is to have fun with something you like. I loved trying it. I highly recommend trying it since it is very fun and even more so if you do it with friends or family. Doing it with someone is much more fun since you laugh with them. If you get a lot of stains, it's worth it because it's a lot of fun. With watercolours, it is also fun because you start with a line, and then you end with a drawing, and you don't know how you did it, it is a very fun way to be with your family. Watercolours are very different but equally fun. At first, you make a sketch of where you are going to paint, and then you start painting. The part that I like the most is the landscapes because it doesn't have to be perfect and that makes it more fun.

2nd Lucía Senado - 6ºC San Juan Bautista (Salesianos Estrecho)

Hello, my name is Lucía Senado Girón. I’m from Madrid. I study at Salesianos Estrecho School. I go to the 6ºC class. My resolution for this new year is to read more. Reading is good and helps us learn new things. For example: Culture, history and much more. I love Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a wizard who lives amazing adventures with his friends. There are 8 movies about this wizard and also books. Last year I read the first Harry Potter book, I really liked it. When I was a child, I loved to read. I couldn't stop, but now I don't read as much as before because I don't have (much) enough time. I recommend that in order not to stop reading, you have to get hooked on a book that you like so much that you have to keep reading it to find out what will happen next. Although I will try to find a book that I like and then not stop reading it. My uncle has recommended that I read a book called: “Chronicles of the Tower, the Valley of the Wolves”. It looks good, I will start reading it and I will try to get hooked a little more to reading.

1st Daniela Ramirez Moran - 5º San Juan Bautista (Salesianos Estrecho)

Hello, my name is Daniela, and if I were a teacher for a day I would teach English. I have enjoyed speaking other languages since I was a child. I think it is important to learn other languages. English can help you to communicate with other foreigners or in places such as England, the United States or countries that use English as a native tongue you can talk with that person. The English is an international language. The benefits of speaking English are much like: you can use it to read appliance instructions, study abroad, strengthen mental capacity, or You have more tourism options: You can use English to read appliance instructions about video games, electronic devices, furniture. If you study abroad, you can travel to different countries and you can get also different jobs. And In some jobs they ask you, but not in all, the Cambridge English exam. Learning English strengthens mental capacity. You have more tourism options and more capacity for understanding different cultures. Apart from these reasons, teaching a language is offering the opportunity for people to communicate with each other. Communication is essential for human beings. And If I don’t teach this subject, I would teach language: If you speak Spanish or you are a foreigner, you need to know the verbs their forms and more.
